The loti neti pot is a traditional porcelain vessel for the yogic practice of nasal rinsing known as jala neti. Rinsing with warm salt water cleanses, refreshes and helps keep the nasal passages clear in a way that is natural for the body. The practice has been used in Ayurveda for centuries to maintain good nasal hygiene.

What it is

How to use

Fill the pot with lukewarm boiled water and dissolve about 1 teaspoon of salt in it until fully dissolved. Tilt your head sideways over a sink and breathe through your mouth. Place the spout against the upper nostril and let the solution flow through and out of the lower nostril. Use about half of the solution for one nostril, then tilt your head to the other side and repeat with the remaining half for the other nostril.
