Meadowsweet is a herb used in folk medicine since the Middle Ages, and in the 19th century salicylates were first isolated from it, a fact also linked to the origin of the name aspirin from the plant's old name, spiraea.
What it contains
Extract from meadowsweet (filipendula) root /Filipendula ulmaria/, on an alcohol base of 62 to 68% ethanol by volume.
Intended use
The herb is traditionally associated with care for the joints, with normal water balance and with the normal function of the urinary tract, being credited with a diuretic action. Marsh cinquefoil is also known for a pronounced calming effect, which is why folk practice recommends it during tension and difficulty falling asleep, without leading to dependence.
How to use
30 drops, dissolved in mineral water or juice, taken 1 to 2 times a day, before meals.
